"Friendship Club" Social Skills Group

Social skills groups focus on developing and working on strategies for optimal socialization.

Therapists use a variety of play-based approaches, including the How Does Your Engine Run?®/Zones of Regulation to teach self-regulation and coping strategies within a social environment.

"This has been a wonderful experience for my child. Skills taught are exactly what she needed. Please continue this during the school year. Great job! Thank you"  ~ Parent at Capernaum

Learning such skills has shown to improve:
  • Teamwork
  • Problem solving
  • Conflict resolution
  • Listening skills
  • Perspective taking
  • Conversation skills

"Friendship Club" is facilitated by an occupational and/or speech therapist. Each course is specifically formed and implemented to meet the unique needs of the children in that group. Children develop life-long friendships and learn social skills that can apply at home, school, and in the community!
